Do you have a showroom?

We're an online-only store — and that's a deliberate choice. By keeping our overheads low, we're able to offer you highly competitive prices without compromising on personalised service.

What happens if an item is out of stock?

If something you've ordered is out of stock, a member of our team will be in touch promptly to give you an estimated timeframe or to discuss alternative arrangements.

Do you offer custom mirrors?

Yes! We offer custom frameless and framed mirrors, as well as a selection of custom bathroom mirrors. Manufacturing typically takes 2–4 weeks. Simply email your preferred dimensions to info@shinemirrors.com.au and we'll send you a quote. Please note that all custom-made mirrors are excluded from our returns policy.

Do you repair or install mirrors?

We don't offer repair or installation services, but we recommend reaching out to a local tradesperson who will be able to help with both.

Do you provide the wall screws for hanging the mirror?

We don't include screws, as the right type will depend on your wall material. Most of our mirrors do come with hangers already fixed to the back, so you'll just need the appropriate wall fixings for your situation.

Should I use wire or chain to hang a heavy mirror?

We'd advise against it. Wire, chain, cord, or rope can pull the hooks sideways and put uneven stress on the mirror. Instead, hang the mirror directly from the fixed hangers on the back, hooking them onto wall-mounted hooks for a secure, straight hang.

What are the fixture types available for different Ablaze bathroom mirrors?

Glue to wall: The most common method. The mirror is attached directly to the wall using a specialist adhesive, available from most hardware stores.
Screw to wall: There will be holes into the mirror so that capped nails can be inserted and screwed onto the wall. The mirror needs to be prepared for this method (allow an additional few days) before delivery.
Batten fix: A timber batten is fixed to the back of the mirror, and a matching batten is screwed to the wall; the two then lock together. This method adds a few extra days to delivery, and once installed the total depth (mirror plus batten) is approximately 20mm. Batten fix itself is 1.2cm thick.

It is best to consult with your tradesperson on the most suitable type of installation for your mirror.

Is my payment information stored on your records?

No. Shine Mirrors does not store any credit or debit card details at any point — during or after your purchase. This site is hosted on Shopify's secure servers, and all transactions are handled by fully compliant payment processors trusted by millions of customers worldwide.

Are the prices inclusive of GST?

Yes — all prices include GST and are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD).

Do you offer trade arrangements?

Why is there a cancer warning label on the back of some mirrors?

Some mirrors imported from the USA carry a label required under California's Proposition 65 legislation. This is a US regulatory requirement and does not indicate any issue with the mirror itself. Caring for Your Mirror

Keeping your mirror looking its best is simple with a little regular care:

Use a water-dampened cloth to wipe the mirror surface, then use a second lint-free cloth to dry
Use a clean, dry cloth to lightly dust the frame when needed
Do not use Windex or similar chemical cleaning products
Do not allow any liquids to come into contact with the frame
Ventilation fan is required to avoid moisture from staying on the mirror for too long
In coastal areas it is recommended to wipe around the edge of the mirror once a month to avoid salt build up that can cause silver creep.

Shipping

How much does shipping cost?

We offer Australia-wide shipping and delivery for most items. Shipping costs are indicated per item.

Will I receive an order confirmation after ordering?

Yes — you'll receive a confirmation email as soon as your order is placed, and a second notification once your item has left our warehouse.

How long will it take for my order to arrive at my address?

Do you deliver to apartments and multi-storey buildings?

Standard deliveries are made to ground level only. If you need your order delivered above the ground floor, please contact us before placing your order so we can make arrangements with the courier. Please note that an additional charge may apply for above-ground deliveries.

Can the courier call me before arriving?

For mirrors, couriers generally aren't able to call ahead or schedule a specific delivery time — they'll arrive between Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm based on their route for the day. We provide you with a tracking number and the courier's contact number so you can get an estimated delivery date. For your convenience, you can also authorise the courier to leave the item at the door.

Do you deliver to PO Boxes?

No — we require a physical address (home or office) where someone is available to receive the delivery.
